Hell guys!.

I am trying to edit a version of shop but it appears that when testing the map that if you were to jump or fall of the map to the bottom sky area of the map you wouldn't die ??

I'm just curious if there was a way to create a hurt item , I did trying playing around with blockers and then selecting the blocker with the size I needed and then doing the edititem command with hurt options but it does nothing?.

Is there another way or am I being silly? I can't seem to find anything about adding such things in the read me file.

I also ideally want yo keep dmflags as 8 as I don't want fall damage enabled on other parts of the actual map itself.

so Hans van Willekom from 3D made a few tutorials about editing the .ent file, so idk if there a tool for it on nv but you can alter add this:

To let people hurt, you need to choose a model again for the area that hurts people. The code is as follows:

"classname" "trigger_hurt"
"spawnflags" "8"
"origin" "270 -340 460"
"dmg" "1"
}

The commands:
Model: number of the model you are using (look at second tutorial).
origin: place of the hurting area.
dmg: damage that the people will take every amount of time when being on the area that hurts.

nv mod doesnt support the " hurt " trigger thing, as far as i know

Create a blocker, select it and then set the dmg variable with the /edititem command.   It does require a map reload to take effect.

Since mp_shop already has the trigger_hurt pointing to a model in the bsp, it would be best to use the original script.  Either check the mp_shop.bsp with a text editor or save a clean version of mp_shop and check that ent file for the trigger_hurt script and then copy and paste that section to your custom mp_shop file.
