Hello
So I had an old thinkpad and a pair of freebsd 4.8 given to me by a customer 11 years ago and decided to try it on my laptop.
I've successfully loaded freebsd on a server many years ago and enjoyed this operating system tremendously so I figured I'd give it a shot :)
Only now that its installed, boots up and everything its asking for LOGIN: and PASSWORD: and nothing I mean NOTHING seems to satisfy the requirement
I remember having difficulty with this last time around - however being an old pppbbbrrrttt I don't remember what I did to satisfy this.
Its ready to rock except for this one minor detail...
No I'm not changing to another operating system until this is done, no I am not putting any form of windows on here either its my unix play toy
Thank you in advance
Any login/password suggestions? |

Hi Mate,
I've been looking around for a while and i found the following information:
During the installation process a screen will popup asking for your username and password to login with.
However in most cases where you dont need to enter a password or username it will be the following login:
1.
Username: root
Password:
2.
Username: root
Password: root
3.
Username: default
Password:
4.
username: default
Password: default |
